Empowering First Responders

Texas’ first responders have limited options for water rescue training. While a small number of single purpose training facilities exist, they are in other states, leaving Texans to train in less than optimal conditions on rivers, in still-water tanks, and even at water amusement parks.

The flood waters and storms won’t stop, and neither will first responders. It is up to all of us to make sure they are prepared.

The Threat Is Real—and Growing

#1 Flood Deaths

Texas leads the nation in weather-related deaths due to flooding.

#1 Drowning Risk

Harris County sees more drowning deaths annually than any other county in Texas.

Our first responders are on the front lines—but lack access to the specialized training they need to save lives when water disasters strike.
